Missing frames (Pictures of locations and dislocations).
2006 – 2010
A Landscapic exploration through the medium of watercolor, reflective of a culture, tradition, people, season and emotions. Forms of time, forms of self and other, forms of locations and dislocations, complex forms, documentation of landscapes, watercolor history, initial artistic drive, that set and tell the story beyond material and craft.
This project was a series of aesthetic responses to the locations in deeply painterly way. This project tried to reveal the beauty of the landscape and landscape as a story and conflicts weaved in the different locations in different time.
The context of the project was in different rural landscape spaces in Meghalaya and Assam. A space mixed with the transparency to become a picture of outside, picture of location and dislocation. Through this project the vernacular-ism of the locations has been transformed in to the popular language of painting.
